More About Coach Jason
I have coached youth soccer off and on for the past four to five years, mainly coaching U12 boys. I have had the privilege of working with various youth players over the past year and a half in a 1on1 environment, bringing them the instruction and tools necessary to develop into the soccer players they desire to be! As a coach, I believe that true soccer development comes from not only mastering technical and physical skills, but also gaining a true understanding of the game.
I have competed at the NCAA Division 2 level for 4 years now, at St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX an incredibly successful and competitive program. I have had the privilege of captaining the team for the past year and a half, playing center back. I have had the privilege of receiving Servant Leadership and Academic All-District award's from St. Edward's athletics during my time in Austin.
A typical hour long session would consist of:
-A light warm up (10 minutes) that includes speed and agility, and technical work related to the topic of the session.
-Three 15 minute blocks of various technical and tactical activities. These often included position specific drills (defender, midfielder, attacker) as well as drills designed to improve the basic technical ability necessary for players to improve in all facets of the game.
- 5 minute cool down and debrief, talking about how the player has been doing with their club/school team, and how I can continue to plan sessions that will optimize the players potential.

Reza Piri (Testimonial)
Jason Lyons has been an incredible soccer trainer for my son, and we couldn’t be happier with his progress. Jason not only pushes my son to excel but does so in a way that builds confidence and a genuine love for the game. His training sessions are thoughtfully designed, and the variety of exercises has noticeably improved my son’s skills, particularly his first touch, which has come leaps and bounds since starting with Jason. Beyond the technical training, Jason brings an energy and enthusiasm to every session that keeps my son excited to show up and work hard. He strikes the perfect balance between being firm and encouraging, ensuring the kids respect the game while still having a lot of fun. My son often comes home inspired, talking about what he learned and eager to practice even more. Jason’s ability to connect with kids and personalize his coaching to fit their needs is what truly sets him apart. He’s not just a coach; he’s a mentor who genuinely cares about each player’s growth, both on and off the field. If you’re looking for someone who can help your child develop skills, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for soccer, I highly recommend Jason Lyons.
