More About Coach Jarrett
For the last 7 years, I've been coaching kids from 8 to 18. I do summer camps in Walnut Creek with the Bronco Baseball Academy. I coach a 12U tournament team for the Walnut Creek Bulldawgs. In the past I have coached 13U, 14U and 16U, tournament and 680 league teams. I have also assisted at Northgate HS at all levels.
I played at Modesto Junior College, UCLA and Purdue.
As a coach my tournament teams have won at least four tournaments every year. My 12U team just returned from cooperstown where we placed 17th out of 104 teams.
I will work on any and all parts of the game as dictated by the player's skills and the parents requests.
I like to break a session up into shorter 5-15 blocks with younger kids to keep them engaged. With older kids, in-depth hour-long focus on a single discipline is possible.
With hitting I like to start with Tee work and move to soft toss, and underhand work. Of course I can throw live batting practice all day if that is appropriate.
