More About Coach Jared
Currently run my own boys AAU program called D-1 Elite basketball. I work with all levels from elite guards trying to get to the division 1 level, to first time beginners trying to make their perspective aau teams. I train both guys and girls in any area that needs improvement. My speciality is shooting, but I can do any facet of the game, and am very detailed in my approach. I can break things down to the simplest level allowing my players to learn faster than they would with other coaches.
4 year varsity starter at MPHS, Played at University of Portland (WCC) from 2007-2011. Led the nation in 3pt shooting in 2010 (48.7%). Set school record for career threes made (336) and most made in one game (10). Most wins by a 4yr class ever at the University of Portland, and ranked in the top 25 in 09-10' season. 3 time WCC all league honors, led team in scoring with 14.1 pts/game senior year. Played 1yr professional in Germany (Pro A) was 2nd in threes made in the entire league and averaged 9 points a game in only 14 min of play.
Typically in one on one sessions I customize my workouts to each players needs. Some clients strictly want to work on their form and getting game type shots up. Others want to work on attack moves, and learning how to use their body and correct angles to score. Typical I do repetition drills for instance ball handling, then I will go live against the player so he can work on the same move with defense. In between live drills I have specific shooting drills to get game time shots up. Usually you will get about 300-500 shots up in one hour session. I don't go longer than an hour, I don't do any conditioning, it is strictly skill work and sharing my knowledge with my clients.
