More About Coach Jared

Master's Degree in Exercise Science, Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition, and over 4+ years combined of Personal Training, athlete Strength and Conditioning coaching, and group fitness instructing.

Currently a Kinesiology/ Exercise Science Instructor for University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Previous training experiences include a 2 year fitness graduate assistantship at UL-Lafayette as a Personal Trainer and group fitness instructor. I've had 2 previous internships learning exercise programming in a D1 college setting, and a youth setting. Also, have experience training adult and senior clientele at a private studio. Outside of in person training, I do online exercise programming as well for clients.

Overall, through my education and experiences I am motivated to help anyone with their fitness needs!

Before becoming a Fitness Professional... I was a former community college and D1 soccer player as an outside midfielder, in my home state of Illinois.

Fitness is a broad category. So, with my educational and experiential knowledge I'll create any training plan based on the needs of the client and whatever equipment is available.
I can train clients with body weight and minimal equipment whether it be outside at a field, or utilizing any equipment at their own home.
Basics of a session:
1. Proper warmup and mobility drills to prepare body for the training session
2. Power development exercises varying with client needs (always train explosive moves 1st when fresh)
3. Strength development varying with client needs
4. Ab and conditioning exercises at end of workout plan
5. Proper cool down and stretching exercises. Also, provide exercise and nutritional tips for the client and answer any questions they have.
