More About Coach James

The bulk of my experience is with clients between 20-35 who have goals of getting fit or losing10-20 Ib. They are unable to lift more than 40 Ib and have low cardiovascular endurance. I incorporate a program that efficiently revamps the muscles and lungs to allow them to fit back in there cloths and enjoy life. I also have experience training clients for competitions on an semi-pro level, either races or fights (Muay Thai). I do have clients that are already fit and who want to take there fitness to the next level and attempt high intensity circuits.I have also trained a few children and clients over 45 years of age. Knowledge gained by certified Personal Training and Nutrition certificate.

I lettered in three sport in High School including: track, football and wrestling. I got a scholarship offer to Citadel for football. I currently train for Muay Thai bouts. I do charity races that are usually 5k. I also have model for upcoming fitness apparel.

I encourage my clients to come to the session already warmed up to save time.Especially if they are new this is due to me having to walk them through some techniques they most likely have to seen before. If this is an impossible request, we began with a track based warm up. This is low intensity high knee skips, straight leg skips, burpees, lateral shuffles, and speed rope. When then work up to ladder or hurdle drill ( depending on fitness level) incorporating Thai pad work. The idea is to reward the footwork drill with active fun. That is what I mostly use the Thai Pads for at this stage. Next we will introduce resistance depending on their level of strength we will use between 15-50 Ib dumbbells various exercises depending on the day in the program. I also use an Olympic bar, medicine ball, weighted vest and kettle bells. Lastly we will work on core and stretch. I target certain skills and muscle groups on specific days of the week so the training will be different from week to week. This allows the body to develop or redevelop a youthful level of fitness.
