My Coaching Experience includes all age ranges from 4 to Adult. I have Coached Tball, Coach Pitch, Kid Pitch-10u, High School, and adult semi-pro leagues. I can cover a wide range of ages and levels of play. I prefer motivated individuals that really want to improve their game. With the younger kids...this is sometimes hard to find, however. This is where i try to make it as fun as possible, while learning the basic fundamentals of the game. I specialize in Pitching, Catching, Infield, and Batting. I pride myself on helping players in slumps and working on the mental aspects of the game as well. Im known as an Individual Skills and Development Coach.
I Can Coach Teams, Groups, or Individuals. If you have pitcher/catcher combos, outfielders, or middle infielders that play together...group sessions are encouraged. If you are in search of a fresh point of view or a different way of looking at things, you've found it. English speaking only...sorry.

I was a recruited Collegiate player for NCAA Division III to MacMurray College in Southern Illinois, then transferred to Savannah College of Art and Design, in the NAIA. After College I continued to play on Independent teams and Semi Pro leagues. I started as a Catcher, went to infield, then to pitcher thru out my career. Defensive Awards won at Catcher and Shortstop. (At catcher I threw out 92% of all baserunners, and at SS I had a fielding percentage of 96%) MVP on Team Illinois All star team for 2 years in a row.

First Session is an evaluation, mixed with drills and game time situations to begin improving right from the start. A discussion with the parents/players will help customize the session plan(s) to the individuals certain needs and goals. From there we progress aggressively into catered session plans that utilize traditional and non-traditional practices per individual. I prefer to not waste time and get right to the point in our sessions.

Real deal coaching

Great teacher! I contacted Jake to help me with bad throwing mechanics that I’ve had issues with since I was 6 years old. 20 years later I finally found a teacher that could help me correct the problem. He identified the issue as soon as I threw the first baseball and we were making progress 2 minutes later. Left the session throwing better/faster than I’ve ever had without any pain. Definitely give him a call if you’re looking to improve.

Has a deep love for the game and is very, very good with kids

Coach Jake is an fantastic coach. In a short period of time, my 7 year old’s catching skills have improved dramatically. He will now be much more prepared for baseball season. Jake creates a fun and organized environment- my children look forward to each lesson. My son is more confident and is learning the skills needed to become a strong player. Thank you!

I highly recommend Coach Jake! My 10-year old son had multiple sessions with him during our spring break in Miami to help him prepare for tryouts and the spring season. Coach broke up the sessions to focus on hitting, catching and pitching, and had excellent drills to review the fundamentals and the skills that he had taught my son. My son hadn’t received any coaching for catching prior to Coach Jake, and the skills he learned from Coach Jake helped him excel as catcher during the spring season. Coach Jake truly loves baseball and is amazing with kids. We will definitely be scheduling more sessions with Coach Jake when we are back in Miami.

Great session

We have had 3 sessions with coach jake and I could say that my son has shown improvement with his techniques. Coach Jake is so great with kids and has alot of patience with them. Teaching the kids the proper techniques and what the real meaning of baseball is. I have tried a couple of coaches for my 8 year old and by far Coach Jake has exceeded our expectation on his coaching.

Coach Jake was great with my 7 year old and in one session he learned a lot including some first base techniques. Awesome learning for my son and for the parents, great with kids who need high octane energy to keep them going, we would definitely use him again in the future

Coach Jake is really good. He is extremely positive and provides direction and lots of encouragement. We enjoyed working with him on hitting and he had great pointers for us to use after the lesson and when warming up for games and practicing on the side. Coach Jake was great! We were on vacation and my son needed to get ready for a tournament. I've played and coached baseball alongside Jake for 5 years. The scope of his baseball knowledge and his ability to communicate with players are truly impressive. Jake is a very hands on coach. He is great with kids. I saw huge improvement in my 5 yr old sons game. He also taught him how to switch hit. Now all my son wants to do is play baseball. Coach Jake helped him gain the confidence in himself to be a better player.
