More About Coach Jaclyn
I’ve been training athletes since i was a jr in hs. I am now a D3 women’s basketball assistant coach at Washington College. I’ve coached AAU since college ages 13u, 14u, 15u and 17u. I did most my trainings in Albany, NY. I’ve trained kids from ages 7 to college athletes. I am flexible as to whether i work 1on1 or in group settings.
Averaged double double. McDonald’s all American nominee in HS. Played D1 at Quinnipiac University. Played D2 in grad school at Pace University. Made the NCAA tournament once. Played against UCONN. First team all-conference and second team all-conference while at Pace. 2 year captain.
A typical session with me includes overall skill work, specific to their position as well as shooting and ball handling in every one. Footwork and form is very important. Goes through old school drills and always implementing new drills and adjusting to new game. Usually start with a warm up, followed by form shooting or layup drill. Few other technique shooting drills working on balance and form. Transitioning into more challenging drills each session. Switch into some ball handling. Usually starting at the low level and increasing difficulty each time. Try to balance drills thatget the heart pumping and drills to work on strength and endurance. In between each drill, take free throws and before every water break. Towards end work on more drills putting together multiple skills. Aim to work on basic skills as well as intangibles like explosiveness, reaction time, athleticism, agility, etc.
