More About Coach Jack
I’ve been an assistant coach for the Oaks Christian HS boys varsity team, a head coach at Oaks FC, an academy scout at Orlando City SC in MLS, a college scout at LA Galaxy, an assistant coach for LA Bulls, and now the Director of Soccer Ops at LMU.
I played in NCAA Div. I and II for Biola University and Loyola Marymount University. As a freshman, I was awarded “Freshman of the Year” in the PacWest Conference. I’ve also played locally for VC Fusion, Cal FC, and the Oxnard Guerreros at the semi-professional level.
I will primarily focus on working with the athletes’ first touch, one of the most important aspects of the game. I will also focus on dribbling and finishing. However, I believe the difference between a good player and a great player is decision making. Because of this, I will work on developing the athletes brain. Exercises that require thinking will be influential in my lessons.
