I played at Garden City High School all 4 years. There I was awarded the Mental Toughness & Effort award for my senior season. Following my high school career, I assisted Garden City Community College as a manager / student trainer. At Kansas State I assisted the K-STATE women’s program as a Scout Team player, where we had to go through a tryout process and compete with the Women’s team.
The training session would start out with stretching and a warm up. The warm up will include speed, quickness, agility and plyometric training. We will then move on to basketball specific drills. We will usually start with a finishing drill around the rim to work on touch, angles, and feel. We will then follow with a footwork drill, shooting drill, or ball handling drill. Every client will be trained differently depending on position, ability, strengths, weaknesses, and programs they come from. Workouts are tailored to putting the athlete in the best position to be successful.
