More About Coach Isaiah

I am currently a high school teacher and assistant men's basketball coach at Henry Ford College, winning the conference championship in our first and only season so far. Before jumping to college, I coached high school varsity boys basketball for 8 years at Bishop Foley Catholic, where we won 6 district championships and 3 Catholic League championships. I have trained boys and girls of all ages and know what it takes to be a successful high school and college athlete. I do not work in the summer, so I have very flexible hours and I also have gym access in Madison Heights and Dearborn. The Madison Heights gym has state of the art shooting technology called Noahlytics that will improve your shooting almost instantly and give you data feedback that you can access anywhere at anytime online or through an app.

I was a 3 year Varsity point guard at Kalamazoo College where I prided myself on hard work and knowledge of the game, earning my minutes through defense and playing the game the right way. My role was much different in high school where I was a three year Varsity basketball player and led my team in scoring my junior and senior years earning me All- Catholic and All- Region each season, so I understand and can coach players in different types of roles. I also played soccer, football, and lacrosse in high school so I can offer cross-training techniques for multi-sport athletes.

The first day, we will discuss your goals and how we are going to achieve them, so each athlete will have a personalized plan. However, I will recommend that we start each session with agility and plyometric drills to improve foot work, foot speed, and athleticism while getting your body prepared for skill work. We can also incorporate strength training if desired since I have access to the weight room in Madison Heights. We will then focus on meeting our goals that we set (e.g. Improved ball handling, attacking the rim, shooting, defense, etc). Though I was a guard, I have worked with multiple bigs who have gone on to play college basketball at the Division II, Division III, JUCO and NAIA levels.

Client Reviews

Coach isiah is great. He is extremely knowledgeable and is able to relate what he is teaching to the player in a way that makes it easy for them. His session is non stop and he is very engaging. I highly recommend coach isiah.

We have only had one session with Coach Isaiah so far, but he did a great job working with my 11 year old son. He did a really good job of balancing encouragement with instruction. He also suggested a couple of adjustments that immediately helped my son. I like the fact that he speaks with the experience of someone who has coached on both the high school and college levels.

Great with my kid great teacher definitely looking for to more sessions with coach Novak

I really enjoyed the workout and the training, I feel confident that we went over the things that will get me over the hump.

Coach Isaiah is very knowledgeable of the game and the facets required to achieve your goals. His Communication skills are great and you can tell he loves the game from a personal level. This transitions seamlessly throughout your workout. He will encourage and push you throughout the workout . If you love this game and want to get better Coach Isaiah is your guy! I'll definitely be back on a regular basis.

Coach Isaiah is a great coach. All it took was one session and already I feel like a new and improved player. The training is pretty difficult, but if you're dedicated it will get you to where you want to be. I would recommend him to anyone.
