More About Coach Igor

Experienced collegiate and elite youth soccer coach with a background spanning NCAA Division I, USL League Two (USL2), and high-level club environments. Currently coaching at Cal State Fullerton, competing in NCAA Division I, where responsibilities include training design, match preparation, opponent scouting, recruiting support, and individual player development within a high-performance environment.

At the USL2 level with SoCal Eagles, contributed to managing elite summer competition, integrating collegiate and aspiring professional players into a cohesive, competitive squad. Experience includes tactical implementation, match analysis, goalkeeper development, and performance management in a results-driven setting.

In the club environment, focused on long-term athlete development, technical progression, and college pathway mentorship—helping players advance to collegiate and professional opportunities while emphasizing culture, leadership, and accountability.

Former high-level player with development experience in Brazil and the United States. Came through professional academy systems in Brazil with Red Bull Bragantino and Associação Portuguesa de Desportos, training and competing in professional environments that emphasized tactical intelligence, technical quality, and competitive mentality.

Continued career in the United States at the collegiate level, competing in the NCAA system while balancing academic and athletic demands. Also gained experience in USL League Two, facing top domestic and international talent in a high-performance summer league designed to bridge collegiate and professional soccer.

Playing background reflects exposure to professional academy standards, American collegiate competition, and pre-professional USL2 environments—shaping a well-rounded understanding of player development pathways in both Brazil and the United States.

My private training methodology is built around intentional detail, repetition with purpose, and direct transfer to match performance. Every session starts with identifying the athlete’s specific needs—technical gaps, positional demands, physical profile, and game scenarios they struggle with.

Sessions follow a clear progression:
1. Technical Foundation Under Control
High-repetition work focused on clean mechanics, body shape, footwork efficiency, first touch, finishing technique, or goalkeeper handling—emphasizing precision and correction.
2. Pressure & Decision Layering
Adding constraints, time pressure, movement patterns, or live opposition to simulate realistic decision-making.
3. Game-Specific Application
Position-based scenarios that mirror actual match moments—1v1 defending, breaking lines, finishing patterns, distribution under pressure, or goalkeeper phase-of-play situations.
4. Competitive Finish
Every session ends with a competitive element to train mentality, composure, and execution under fatigue.
