More About Coach Hope

I have coached athletes ages 10-18 in various settings. I have coached high school field hockey and club field hockey for two years. I have also worked and currently work with a local fitness studio, which focuses on athletic development.

In high school, I was IAAM All-Conference in 2018 and 2019. I was also MVP of JV in 2017 and Unsung Hero for Varsity in 2019. I was also JV captain my sophomore year and Varsity captain my senior year. I played field hockey at Roanoke College where I was a starter for all four years. I was all-ODAC third team in 2021 and all-ODAC second team in 2022. I was also captain my senior year (2023); however, the season was cut short due to injury.

My sessions would typically last 45 minutes to an hour. The first 10 minutes would be focused on a brief warm-up and stick skills. I would then briefly reinforce the skill we worked on last session. The rest of the time would be dedicated to what the athlete wants to work on (which would be discussed before hand). I would then work through specific drills that build on each other to use the skill/skills in different situations.
