More About Coach Holly

I have been a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine for about five years. I have experience training clients of all ages and health backgrounds, including individuals struggling with obesity, arthritis, joint replacements, previous or current injuries, rehabilitation patients, under-weight individuals, and many more. I also enjoy training athletes who desire to improve their athleticism, agility, and sport-specific skills.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science & Physical Therapy, I began my fitness training career while working in a physical therapy clinic, helping patients heal and regain their strength after surgical procedures and injuries as part of their rehabilitation regimen. From there, I decided to continue my training in an independent fitness facility and to focus more on fitness training. I am also a full-time Gym Manager outside of my training hours.

My sessions are always designed to suit each individual client and his or her specific needs and goals. Most sessions will begin with a dynamic warm-up, light stretching, technique teaching, and then the core of the workout which will include any or all of the following: strength training, sports drills, cardiovascular conditioning, and flexibility work. We will always include a cool down and stretching at the end of each session.

In order to gauge my client's progress, I periodically perform bodyfat testing and circumferential measurements of the body to determine the effectiveness of the client's fitness program. It's important to me that each of my clients achieve their goals and leave each session feeling accomplished.

I've been interested in health, fitness, and nutrition for many years. I struggled with my weight as a child, so with the help of my family, I began researching and teaching myself how to eat healthier and get fit. My interest in fitness peaked in college when I became involved in intercollegiate volleyball and weight lifting. I played for two years in college and noticed changes in my body that I never would have achieved without sports. I love helping others accomplish their own health and fitness goals while having a lot of fun too!
