I've coached private pitching lessons since high school and throughout college in Tennessee and Kentucky. I've also served as the assistant head coach / pitching coach at CCECHS (Sylmar, CA) for the past 2 seasons. In addition, I'm also a certified with CoachUp as a private quarterback instructor.

In high school I had several college offers, but opted to play college football instead. As a QB in college, I was a 4 year starter, All-American senior year, and broke every career passing record (Centre College, Kentucky). In high school on the pitching mound my senior year, I went 11-1 while also setting a school record for batting average (.487), playing against the likes of current Detroit Tigers pitcher Daniel Norris, who won all of the Player of the Year awards. 1st team All-Conference, All-Region. My father pitched at the University of Virginia.

After getting to know the client's skill level / goals, we'll go through a series of warmups and dynamic stretches to loosen and strengthen the arm. I uniquely curate a throwing regimen and go through a series of drills to improve strength, stamina, flexibility, and accuracy. Once on the mound, we'll cover everything from basic windup/stretch mechanics, command, tells, pickoffs, etc. as well as specifically focusing on an arsenal of pitches. Finally, they will learn how to "pitch" and not just "throw" - how to THINK like a pitcher.

I signed up my 11 year old son for a session with Coach Heath. My son is a beginner who's never played organized football, and needed work on basics as well as positional fundamentals. Coach Heath was great with him, very friendly, very encouraging, and skilled at getting young athletes to learn - he really helped my son master a few things in a short time. My son really enjoyed the session and we've signed up for more and will stick with it - he's excited to continue. I am sure Coach Heath has the skill set to teach more experienced players, but speaking from the vantage point of a parent of a less-experienced player, he's definitely qualified to teach that group as well. I would definitely recommend him!

My son is heading to college to play QB NCAA Division 3. I wanted a coach that was active and able to run routes once he gave him the instructions.
