More About Coach Heather
Dr. Heather Larkin is a leading mental performance specialist, licensed mental health clinician, and educator with over 30 years of experience. She is the founder of ALL IN Counseling & Mental Performance and the creator of the ALL IN Mindset, a transformative approach that empowers athletes to develop resilience, confidence, and peak performance. Dr. Larkin holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Northeastern University and a Master’s in Clinical/Behavioral Psychology from UMass Dartmouth.
As a certified Mental Game Coaching Professional and Mental Performance Mastery Coach, she has worked with athletes at the prep-school, collegiate, and professional levels. She is also a co-founder of the Mental Performance Coaches Association and the author of multiple books, including ALL IN Mindset: How to Fumble, Fail and Still Come Out On Top and The Car Ride Chronicles: A Playbook for Sports Parents to Avoid Those Dreaded Car Rides Home. I played DIII basketball at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth until a serious car accident ended my athletics journey. I work with clients in all sports and at all levels to help them with strength and conditioning for their minds.
I conduct several assessments to determine the mental areas they struggle in. We create an individualized mental game plan and then we work together 1-2 times per week virtually. I use cognitive-behavioral strategies to get to the root of their thoughts and help them build mental skills to better manage expectations, fear of failure, maintaining composure in the face of adversity, letting go of mistakes, return from injury, goal setting, etc.
