More About Coach Hallie

I have experience coaching athletes of all ages. I have worked with elementary and middle school aged athletes through clinics and programs such as Junior Celtics around the Boston area. I was the assistant coach for the girls' varsity basketball team at the Cambridge School of Weston and helped to coach within the girls basketball program at Woburn Memorial High School. I am open to working with athletes of all ages!

I started playing varsity basketball at Newton North High School and was selected as a Boston Globe all-star. I then went on to play collegiate basketball for four years at Wheaton College in Norton, MA. I was the captain of our team during my senior season.

A typical session with me will completely vary based on the needs of the individual athlete. I will start by talking with the athlete and setting goals to work towards during our sessions together. I will ask about his/her strengths and weaknesses, and will consider what stage of their career they are at and where they would like to be in the near future. From there, I like to focus on skill-specific drills that will target the athlete's goals, but will be fun in the process! I want to help athletes improve their overall confidence in their abilities and knowledge of the game, as the mental aspect is such a crucial component that is often overlooked. As part of my masters degree from Boston University, I concentrated in sport psychology- I will undoubtedly be bringing this knowledge into my sessions with athletes as well. Most importantly, I want athletes to enjoy our sessions together and continue to love the game!

Coach Hallie and my daughter had their first training session today! She was very professional and knowledgeable about the sport. My daughter felt comfortable with her coaching and felt that training with Coach Hallie is going to really help her game. We will be signing up for more sessions in the future!

My son had his first session with Coach Hallie the other day. She is a great teacher and really knows how to communicate and encourage a student. Great attitude. Great drills. Excellent instruction. I think that my son really learned a lot and he is looking forward to his next session with her.
