More About Coach Greg

I don’t have much experience coaching as of yet. I helped an after school program teaching kids k-5 the fundamentals of soccer as well as helped out numerous youth academies during my times as a collegiate and professional player. I’ve been a soccer player for over 18 years and have had many different experiences with coaches and teams. I’ve learned an immense amount over that span and feel as I continue on my journey as a player, I can also share some insight and teachings that I learned to kids whatever level they are at.

I played youth club soccer growing up at NASA(North Atlantic Soccer Association) as well as high school soccer at Walton where I was a 1st team all-state player. I then went on the play Division 1 collegiate soccer at Missouri State University, where I started in over 70 games and went to 3 ncaa tournaments in a row as well as 4 conference championships. I was a 2nd team all conference my sophomore and junior year and then 1st team all conference my senior year of college. In 2022, I played my rookie professional year at Chattanooga fc in 3rd division and was set to play my 2nd year for Charlotte independence in USL1 but unfortunately had an injury in which I can not play professionally at the moment.

What you could expect from a session from me would be, technical drills that I know from experience are things that can help someone go to the next level. Drills like working on your first touch or numerous dribbling drills and passing drills that try to replicate a game like scenario. As the session progresses the drills become more advanced depending how the player is performing in each one. Each session would be tailored specially to what the player needs and what he/she will face in a game. Depending on the level will also determine what type of drills to do whether it’s foundational skills or more advanced

Greg is very knowledgeable and connected with my player on his very first session. Greg works great one and one and in a group setting. My child really enjoys training with him and has learned new skills from Greg as well. As a parent, I love the fact that Greg communicates openly and honestly with the kids and parents. One of my favorite players I’ve trained with. Super humble guy with a lot of Soccer quality. He was doing preseason with an USL1 team before picking up an injury which costed him the signing window. Keep an eye on him because he will be a pro again soon enough. I’m glad I’ve gotten to work with him this off-season.
