For 5 years I have been coaching private lessons and running camps for the Chicago Bulls/White Sox Academy. I have coached a variety of ages from 5 to 20 years old. I also am the varsity pitching coach for Addison Trail High School and the assistant coach for the 15U Elite White Sox team. In the process of receiving a fitness degree, therefore my knowledge of training athletes is more extensive.

I went to Downers Grove South High School where I played football and baseball. I was a 2 year letterman in each sport winning all conference and all academic awards my senior year. Won West Suburban Gold conference both years in both sports. Went to Aurora University and won freshman of the year award along with making the conference all freshman team. Had to have UCL surgery (Tommy John) my sophomore year and transferred to Harper Junior College. There I was captain of the team while earning my associates degree. I then went back to Aurora University where I became the captain for two more years.

A typical session will consist of a lot of repetitions in order to help develop muscle memory. Drills will be used to adjust to the weaknesses of the athlete in order to help to make them strengths. I do not believe that drills will fix everything but a good mix of game situation and the right drills in order to achieve maximum potential. A big part of sports is the mental game, but it is often overlooked. This is is something that can be taught and practiced so it's not just something you are born with. Putting them in a game-like situation will help them feel more comfortable when they get the game. Making it possible for them to hit the game winner or strike out the last hitter with the bases loaded and be the hero.
