More About Coach Gerardo
With over 10 years of coaching travel competitive soccer at Cosmos and Crossfire, I’ve also coached at schools such as Clovis North High School, Clovis High School, and Granite Ridge Middle School. I hold a US Soccer Federation ‘C’ License, and I believe that learning should always happen with the ball at your feet, fostering technical skills and creativity. In addition to coaching in both competitive leagues and school soccer, I’ve held training camps for athletes aged 5 to 18.
I played at Fresno Pacific University, earning both academic and athletic scholarships, and won the PacWest Conference during my sophomore year. While at Clovis North High School, I helped the team win a Valley championship in 2012 and was a co-track champion in 2014, receiving the MVP award for my performance during the 2013 and 2014 season.
In a typical session, clients can expect a structured practice centered around technical and skill development. I focus on key maneuvers—such as passing and dribbling—while fostering a competitive environment. Each session is designed to challenge athletes and enhance their decision-making abilities, instilling a love for the game through engaging drills. Small-sided games may be incorporated in group sessions to further develop teamwork and game understanding.
