More About Coach Gerald

I have been coaching and doing private lessons since my first offseason back in 2013. I have trained athletes from high school to the professional level.

I signed right after high school as an international free agent with the Cleveland Indians now known as the Guardians. I also had a scholarship to the University of Florida. With the Indians, I made it as far as A ball. I was a top prospect until I had a knee injury that limited my playing time in 2014. In 2015, I got invited to big league spring training where I had the honor of learning from the top coaches in the industry. In 2016 I led the l team that I was playing in, in almost every offensive category there was. That year I won the best third baseman award of the league.
Fast forward to 2019, I got converted to a pitcher where I have learned the basics of pitching. I also have knowledge of doing the plyo balls. I am currently a free agent.

As soon as I start with a client I will have him do an active warm up that includes dynamic stretching and a series of ladder drills to improve on agility. If the client is a pitcher, I would have him do a series of exercises using the J-bands, we would do drills with a towel, start our throwing session and finish it off with a light bullpen to see the results of the drills that we did that day.
If the client is a hitter, we would do a series of speed and agility on the ladder, I would set some drills on the tee, we would do one-handed drills (depends on the age of the hitter) , front toss, and finish it off with bp.

Not only the huge improvement and confidence in my son's game but it's the personal experience (for parent and child) where we are both excited to see Coach G. I've watched Coach G train many other kids of all ages and he connects with all of them with a customized approach. Realize your child is not going to be Aaron Judge after a few lessons - you need to put in the work but trust me on this, don't look any further, you won't regret it!!
