More About Coach George

I have enjoyed 10 years of coaching soccer, logging thousands of hours. I work with 3 yr olds to high schoolers, and all skill levels from beginners to high level players. I am a veteran coach at Coerver United, where I coach year round, as well as direct summer camps. I am the Head Coach of the Severna Park High School JV Boys, who are Anne Arundel County Champions two years running (fall 2022 & 2023).

I have played soccer throughout my life, including four years at Severna Park High School where I was a starting center back during an undefeated state championship season in 2013. I played competitive intramural soccer at the University of Maryland and still love to play in adult leagues as often as I can. In addition, I spent time on the UMD NCAA DI Baseball team so I understand what it takes to get to a high level in athletics.

I like to get the most out of each session - minimal breaks and lots of movement to replicate games. Here is a general session but it will be tailored to you based on your position, experience, and any requests you have:
1) Dynamic Warmup
2) Ladders with Short Sprints: improve agility and acceleration
3) Dribbling Drills: improve ball control
4) Passing Drills: on the move to create game like situations
5) 1v1s: focused on aggressive attack and disciplined defending
6) Finishing: using varying distances, angles, and situations
Constantly focusing on correct techniques and building the right habits, while keeping every session fun

Client Reviews

Worked well with my son. Was enthusiastic and positive. Worked on speed/agility, dribbling, passing, and shooting. My son is exited to train more with Coach George.
