More About Coach Franchesska

During my time playing as a goalkeeper at Delaware State University, I was given the opportunity to further my knowledge on the game through coaching at a local club alongside my assistant coach at the time. After graduation, I am currently coaching goalkeepers at the high school level. Through my many years of experience as a player, I have been able to see first hand the qualities that make a great coach and am able to demonstrate that through my own sessions. Oftentimes, 1 on 1 coaching is not readily available to many goalkeepers at the high school and club level and as a coach, my goal is to provide as many goalkeepers the opportunity to receive the undivided attention that is often looked over.

I began playing soccer as a goalkeeper with a local club, which at the time was called Longmont United Soccer Association. I then moved clubs and played competitively at the super league and ECNL level with Colorado Storm. During my time with Colorado storm I also competed at Longmont High School in Longmont Colorado where I achieved a 4 year varsity letter and received 2017 All-Northern Conference. While there, I was ranked 5th in saves in the 4A Northern conference in 2016, 2nd in 2017, and 1st in 2018 as well as ranked top 10 in Colorado in saves in 2017 and 2018. After High School, I continued my soccer career playing at the division 1 level at Delaware State University while receiving an athletic and academic scholarship.

All sessions will begin with a dynamic warm up and will move into an agility focused warm up that heavily utilizes cone drills with various services (lowballs, volleys etc). Once keepers are warmed up, the session will move into high intensity drills that are tailored to the goalkeeper's needs in order to keep sessions as individualized as possible. Sessions may focus on specific aspects of goalkeeping (distribution, handling, footwork, shot stopping etc) and will always have heavy focus on technique and repetition.
