More About Coach Florian

I specialize in coaching young players ages 6–13, with a strong emphasis on fundamentals, confidence, and game understanding. My approach is centered on building the right technical and mental foundations so players are prepared to succeed as they progress to higher levels of the game.

I am currently working toward my USSF B License and have previous coaching experience with U12 boys and U12 girls pre-ECNL teams while playing professionally in Virginia with VSA / VDA. I bring a high-energy, positive, and structured coaching style that challenges players while keeping sessions engaging and fun.

While my primary focus is youth development, I am open to working with players of all ages and levels, tailoring each session to the individual’s needs and goals.

I am a current professional soccer player with Oakland Roots in USL, with extensive experience across elite, high-performance environments in the United States and Europe. My development has been shaped by top-level academies, professional clubs, and competitive leagues, instilling in me high standards of professionalism, discipline, and consistency.

My playing career includes experience in Major League Soccer with the New York Red Bulls and FC Cincinnati, as well as in the USL Championship with Miami FC, Loudoun United FC, and Oakland Roots SC. I also competed at the NCAA Division I level at Rider University, and developed in prestigious European academies, including Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and AS Monaco.

My game and mindset are built on technical excellence, tactical intelligence, and resilience, values I now bring into my coaching to help players grow both on and off the field.

My sessions are fun, engaging, and structured, always built around the individual needs of each player with a strong emphasis on fundamental development. While every player is different, the session structure remains consistent to ensure quality and progression.

Each session includes:

A dynamic warm-up

General technical activation and core fundamentals

Targeted, tailored drills based on the player’s specific goals and areas for improvement

When preparing players for a season or building match fitness, sessions become high-intensity and ball-focused, using circuits, positional work, and game-like exercises that develop fitness, decision-making, and effort, all within realistic soccer situations.

The goal is always to maximize development while keeping players motivated and enjoying the process.
