More About Coach Fionn
I am a professional USSF licensed coach currently working full time with FC Cincinnati and their professional academy. Before Cincinnati, I have coached at the women's professional top flight level, mens NCAA level, and every level of youth from grassroots to MLS Academy. I have helped develop multiple players into NCAA power 4 programs, professional contracts, and national team call ups.
My playing career ended at age 15, which pushed me into coaching long before most people enter the profession. Instead of pursuing athletic accomplishments as a player, I built my experience through coaching environments at a young age, working across academy, collegiate, and professional levels. That path forced me to develop quickly through observation, initiative, and daily work within high-performance environments rather than through a traditional playing résumé.
Practice does not make perfect. It makes permanent. That principle underpins every session.
Training is built around high-repetition, technique-driven work where execution is held to a consistent standard. Repetition is used deliberately to engrain correct movement patterns so actions become reliable under match pressure.
Work spans both goalkeeping and field player development. For goalkeepers, sessions focus on set position, footwork, handling, diving mechanics, positioning, distribution, and decision-making. For field players, coaching targets first touch, passing technique, scanning, body orientation, 1v1 execution, and game understanding in possession and out of possession.
Across both, the methodology is the same: controlled repetition, clear correction, and progressive increase in speed and pressure while maintaining technical standards. Players are challenged to execute correctly first, then execute under fatigue, then execute under realistic chaos.
The objective is permanence in technique and clarity in execution so performance remains stable when the game becomes unpredictable.

Fionn helped me prepare for my college career at Wake Forest. He pushes players to reach their full potential while recognizing that every keeper is different. His ability to tailor training to each individual without lowering standards sets him apart.
