Welcome everyone! For as long as I can remember, I believed in my passions, as the one and only motivation to lead my life when I faced obstacles or challenges. Therefore, when I felt short in my ability against these obstacles, I dedicated myself with hard work and focus. This dedication and hard work involved bloody pain in order to succeed by any means necessary. What I truly believe in is what I can humbly teach my students at Faster, Stronger, Smarter DAILY Basketball Training Program.

*Mike’s background besides basketball?
I graduated from UCLA and earned Sociology B.A. 2010. I worked as a behavior therapist for kids with autism at California Psych Care in Mission Viejo for 2 years. I was Youth Partner for foster teenagers who has been abused physically and sexually at New Alternatives in Santa Ana for a year. I worked as an assistant social worker at New Life Adult Health Care Center for seniors at Cerritos for 6 months and a job coach for adults with disabilities at IRI in Irvine. As my major and job experiences speak for themselves, I was trained and have dealt with all different age groups of people who needed professional assist. Faster, Smarter, Stronger DAILY Basketball Program will not only train the youth to become a better basketball player but also to become a better young adults who can be prepare for the society.
Trainer Mike’s Experience:
• Woodbridge High school basketball team (2004): Teammate with current NBA player Austin Daye (San Antonio Spurs).
• CA.BC [California Basketball Club] AAU League team (2002-2005): Teammate with Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors).
• Assistant coach, Sean Rooks summer camp (Summer 2004): assistant coach
• for Former NBA player, Sean Rooks summer camp for kids in age between 5~8.
• Assistant coach, Boys and Girls Club (August 2006): assistant coach for 6th-8th graders with Jonathan Chin. Responsibilities included developing practices, running drills and engaging children in a challenging basketball setting.
• Head coach, Fit Kids America (Winter 2010-2011): I coached pre-school to 6th graders at Tijeras creek and Wood Canyon elementary school.
• Assistant coach, Saddleback high school Boy’s Varsity team (Winter 2011 – Fall 2012)
• Head coach, Saddleback high school Boy’s JV team (Winter 2012 – Summer 2013)
• Assistant coach, C.A. BC High school team (Winter 2013 – still coaching): high school players from Orange County, Woodbridge, Irvine, Northwood, El Toro, Santa Margarita, Corona Del Mar…etc. All the elite type high school players who are planning on playing in D1~D3 in college

I charge per monthly and gas + time consuming for driving to your location near with basketball court.
- Private training: $50 / session (this could last for 50 min to 1hr 30 min)
- Group session price will decrease lower from private training price. (Max 4 players for group)
- 2 players = $40/ session, 3 players = $30/ session, 4 players = $25/ session

-Private/Group Basketball Skill Development Program. This program categorized based on individual’s position, a. Point-guard, b. Shooting-guard, c. Forward, d. Center. We will specifically individualized their priorities and goals that is short-term and long term.
This program will indicate…
• Shooting: forms, set shot, catch & shoot, pull-ups, series of move before pull up, free-throws, shooting while tire
• Dribbling: stationary, using two balls, zig-zag, double & triple moves, different types of cross overs, btwn legs, behind back, spin moves.
• Passing: stationary, using two balls, passing lane, while running, different types of passing; chest, bounce, pocket, soccer, behind
• Footwork: series of different drop-steps, inside or outside pivot, face-up, rocker-steps, jab-steps, when and how to use all different types of footwork before shoot, pass or dribble, counter moves.
• Plyometric: All the movement that are used during performance such as skipping, one or two feet jump, back-paddle, quick-off the ground, euro-steps, side-steps.
• Conditioning & Weight lifting
• Mental: In order to perform in their best level, individual’s state of mind before, during, after game needs to be understood the surroundings. If individual is lost or in “freaking out” stage either before, during or after game, all the hard work goes to waste and their confidence level will decrease. We will learn about individual’s personality and capture every moment during training to develop professional levels of mentality.
