More About Coach Erin
I have been coaching softball pitchers since graduating college in 2018 - prior to that I helped my dad coach his pitchers. I work with girls from 7yo up through college and coach through 4 different facilities in the area I live in Illinois.
I hold all pitching records at Tuscola High School.
I played at Kankakee Community College 2014-2015.
I played at Parkland College 2015-2016 where I went undefeated in conference play and received Pitcher of the Year.
I played at the University of Illinois 2016-2018.
If the pitcher has pitched before - I first watch their warm up and see how they throw so I can evaluate what level they’re currently at. If they’ve never pitched before and have zero experience I take them through a standard warm up and start all the way from scratch, mechanically. I am very mechanics-focused when it comes to pitching. Depending on the level they’re starting from - I will do drill work, power drills to work on velocity (more advanced), location work, spins for different pitches, etc. This is all dependent on their starting point when they first come to me.
