More About Coach Eric

I hold prior experience as an assistant coach in track and field; both at the high school level and the club track level. The teams I coach are: Jefferson Prep HS, a private school in Phoenix and the AAG Sports Academy Guardians.

The role I served was Strength Trainer. Our female athletes finished 3rd at the state in the CAA division while our men finished 6th. We have a small squad, displaying the athletic achievements and coaching of our athletes at an individual level.

I currently hold a Personal Trainer certification through ACSM. I have trained clients inside and outside of the gym setting; the clients I have trained range anywhere from young, healthy and athletic to training middle-aged clients with physical ailments.

I also specialize in character development, teaching young athletes sportsmanship, work ethic, and positive character values.

I am an USATF certified coach, also credentialed in concussion prevention, CPR certified, and professional Emergency Medical Technician.

I am currently a local firefighter. I serve a role on my department as a fitness expert. I design, implement, and track fitness routines for the members that put their lives on the line for our community. I also have prior experience training in a gym setting, where my responsibilities included working with athletic and non -athletic individuals with injuries.

In my youth, I participated in: baseball, football, and basketball. My current scope is in track and field, where athletic abilities in track and field translate to successful abilities in other sports.

Our sessions would be geared to improving your sports conditioning in your given sport. A session could involve a series of bodyweight workouts or a focus on weight training (age pending) always with a focus on core fitness, the base of athletic success. The core (hips, back, abdominals) are an important link in the chain that is our body. Athletic competitiveness is dependent on holding a strong core and posterior chain. The posterior chain (hamstring, glutes, entire back, hips, and rear shoulders) are a driving force of power for athletes of all ages.

Ages of participants range in all ages. Youth under 14 years of age will not use little to no weight resistance with a focus on bodyweight strength and explosiveness.

All sessions will be completed outdoors.
