Each session consists of 4 parts: a focused warm up, a slow introduction to the basics of that day, an integration of speed and increased comfort with the skill of the day, and then a full application. For example, if the session were balance (essential for shooting properly, making accurate passes, and change of direction): 1) a glute and core activation warm up to bring awareness to the parts of the body essential for balance, 2) standing balance so something like single leg around the world, 3) one legged balance with a ball in play , i.e. passing while on one leg, 4) balance with active ball play, i.e. player needs to turn and face on the balance pad and make an accurate volley back off a ball thrown. Every action is focused on the one skill of the day, and the coaching instruction is related to improving the players own awareness of their skills.

Players will improve and have fun doing it. My session plans are structured, but there’s lots of room for fun!
