As a former midfielder, I have a wide understanding of both offensive and defensive concepts, skills, and game smarts. I will work with the athlete to assess their strengths and weaknesses, identify their short-term and/or long-term lacrosse goals, and individually work with that player to improve upon these goals.

For attackers, I focus on the following: shooting (shot selection, placement, & strength, throwing fakes, and 8m techniques); cutting (sharp, off-ball cuts, backdoor cuts, when to cut, change of speed, setting proper picks, etc.); 1v1's to goal from all angles of the 8m and behind the crease; non-dominant stick work and shooting; defensive rides; back-checking; proper body defense; and overall player confidence.

For defenders: off-ball sliding & communication; defensive slides and footwork (agility drills & strength training exercises); proper body and stick placement; forcing attackers non-dominant stick-side; double teams; midfield defense; clears & transitioning the ball; crease defense; & defending 8m shots.

For midfielders, in addition to the offensive & defensive focus areas mentioned above: boxing out on the circle first & then going to ball; left-handed pull draws; right-handed push draws; self-draws; field smarts and field awareness.

Conditioning: sprint-work (with stick/ball and without stick/ball), agility training (short sprints, change of speed & direction, back-peddling, sliding), long-distance training.
