More About Coach Elizabeth

I currently help coach high school track and field athletes. I focus on both technical skill development and general fitness. I bring personal experience as a multi-sport athlete. I played varsity soccer competitively for over 12 years. I started in elementary school, played on a travel club team, in high school, and then continued to play club soccer in college. I also competed as an NCAA Division III runner in both cross country and track and field at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. This background allows me to train athletes in endurance, strength, and sport-specific skills, especially for running and soccer. I typically work one-on-one with elementary school-aged athletes, especially entry-level athletes. However, I am also comfortable training older athletes because of my experience coaching high schoolers.

I competed in both high school and collegiate athletics across multiple sports. In high school, I played club soccer and ran cross country and track. I was named an All-State and All-Montgomery County runner and was part of the 2019 Maryland State Championship cross country team. At the collegiate level, I was an NCAA Division III athlete in cross country and track at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. I served as team captain and hold six school records in track events. I was a four-time First Team United East Conference runner and received the United East Senior Scholar-Athlete award. We also won the United East Conference Cross Country Championship all four years I was on the team.

Each session will start with a proper warm-up to prepare the body and prevent injury. This includes dynamic stretches and light cardio. Each session is tailored to the individual athlete’s needs. Therefore, as we start the session, we will identify the specific areas to improve and work on for that day. We will focus on a new skill or technique. This could vary from form to agility drills, or basic fitness fundamentals. We will then use engaging and fun drills to challenge the athlete while keeping the environment supportive and encouraging. I will also emphasize the importance of positive self-talk to build confidence and focus throughout the workout. Every session will then end with good stretching to promote recovery and flexibility. My goal is to help athletes develop their physical skills and a positive mindset, allowing them to make progress while enjoying the process.
