More About Coach Elam

Over the course of the last decade, I've coached with numerous AAU programs (All City Elite & Silver Spring Warriors) and basketball camps (Coach Wootten Basketball Camp), along with facilitating training for multiple high school programs and clinics. Normally, I work with youth ranging from ages 11-17, but I am open to accommodating anyone outside of that age range. NFHS coaching certification.

4-Year Varsity Basketball Player for The Field School, Woodrow Wilson HS, and Bell Multicultural HS – Team Captain 2006-2007. Recruited to play for D-2 and D-3 level programs (Shippensburg University, SUNY Old Westbury, & Fayetteville State University). - I opted to focus on academics and attend Temple University.

Clients can expect multifaceted workouts that focus on fundamentals, basketball IQ and endurance. Emphasis will be placed on ball handling, proper shooting techniques, in-game shots, conditioning, and defense.
Initial workouts begin with evaluating said client's abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. From there, an individualized training program is implemented to strengthen the player's strong suits, improve weak areas, all while building stamina and a high basketball IQ. Encouragement and positive, constructive critique are keys to successful player development and trainer-client relationships. Workouts are a minimum one-hour sessions.
