More About Coach Edward
I specialize in training goalkeepers, working primarily with middle school and high school athletes, though I'm happy to coach players of any age. My path to coaching started on the pitch: I came up through the New England Revolution Academy, competing against MLS academy programs across the country, before playing five years of Division I soccer at Xavier University in the Big East Conference. That mix of elite academy training and Big East competition shapes how I coach — I focus on building fundamentals that hold up under real pressure, not just drills that look good in practice.
A two-time state champion and Massachusetts Player of the Year for my age group, I spent my youth career with the New England Revolution Academy, one of MLS's top development programs, facing off against academy teams nationwide. I carried that experience into college, playing five seasons at Xavier University in the Big East Conference — one of the top leagues in Division I soccer.
Every session starts with a proper warm-up to get the body ready, followed by footwork drills to sharpen movement and positioning in the box. From there we dial into the technical side of the position — passing and distribution, handling, and catching — before finishing with shot-stopping work to put it all together under game-like pressure. Each session is built to develop a complete goalkeeper, not just reflexes.
