More About Coach Dj
My name is David S. “D.J”. I recently completed 4 seasons as a professional basketball player in the country of Denmark from 2008-2012.
In my recent position, I played an intricate part in leading my team to the best record in club history, finishing the season at 20-6. In my role as point guard it was my responsibility to lead and motivate my teammates to compete at a high level in games as well as tedious day-to-day operations. I was league leader in assist at 6.7 per game, which enabled my team to achieve unprecedented success. My position as a point guard for professional basketball clubs in Europe has given me first hand experience in working with multiple personalities achieving goals at an elite level.
In addition to my position with “Team Fog Naestved”, I was the coach of basketball at one of the top sports Academies in Denmark, SOS Ifterskole in Haslev, Denmark. At SOS it was my job to conceptualize new drills and activities both offensive and defensive that enhance the retention of all basketball skills and improve player development. I was in charge of 21 male student athletes between the ages of 16-18 and created a positive and disciplined environment.
I’ve played basketball for 18 years with 3 years of Division 1 collegiate experience at the University of Illinois at Chicago along with 3 years as a professional in the Countries of France and Denmark. Both have helped me to understand the game of Basketball at an exceptional level. Furthermore, I learned how to multi-task both as a student-athlete in college and as a player-coach as a professional.
I am a dedicated, hard worker with a positive attitude and drive for excellence and success. I will work tirelessly to ensure that my athlete is instilled with the same work ethic and dedication i have which enabled me maximize my potential. I am extremely confident that my client will see an immediate improvement in his or her game with every session.
