I have been coaching soccer players of various levels in Santa Maria, CA, for over 15 years
I have coached at the recreational level, as well as competitive/club and high school
I appreciate working with all age groups
I hold a United States Soccer Federation National C-License, a United States Soccer Federation National Youth License, and a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Diploma

Growing up in Ivory Coast (West Africa) and in France, I spent my youth competing in the club circuit and in high school. As an adult, I continue to play in the local recreational leagues while seeking avenues to continuously give back to the game

Prior to the first training session, I like to meet the player for a conversation. The latter gives us a chance to know each other and determine whether I can help the player. I also like to observe the player in a game or team training session in order to learn more about him/her (skill set, athletic attributes, decision making, etc.). I would then make recommendations for training sessions.
The session would begin with an explanation what we are trying to improve on the day and the activities I have chosen to get us there. We would then move into a dynamic warm-up in order to activate the muscles and joints which will be recruited most during the session. Following the warm-up would be a rehearsal of the technique required. Once the technique is understood, we would move through activities which would put the player in situations where he/she needs to execute the technique under varied pressure. The session would end with a cool-down followed by discussion and feedback.
