More About Coach Dillon

I have coached a wide variety of students. I have taught students from ages 3 all the way up to 83. I have taught children that have never touched a racquet all the way up to boys who are playing at the collegiate level, beginning stages of playing pro and a girl who was a full time WTA professional. I typically work with children from ages 3-18. I currently serve as a high school tennis coach as well.

I am a former professional tennis player. I have competed all around the U.S. and was a nationally ranked junior tennis player. I am a State High School Tennis qualifier. I still train and play professional tournaments when they are close to home.

I believe in a long term approach to coaching where form must be mastered first. I concentrate heavily on form but also include a lot of hitting. I believe if a student is good enough to hold a 5 ball rally the majority of the lesson will be hitting and not just being fed balls.

Great lesson! Dillon is super nice & very professional. He gives useful positive & constructive feedback, so you know what to keep doing right & what to work on. This gave me confidence that I could improve with practice. We worked in some basic backhand & forehand techniques as well as the more specific things I wanted to work on like approach shots, backhand volleys & serving. I was just taking a lesson while on vacation, but if I lived in this area Dillon would be my go-to guy for coaching. He's very passionate & knowledgeable about all things tennis!
