More About Coach Diego

I’m currently a NCAA Division I soccer player at George Washington University with experience competing in elite academy, college, and international soccer environments. I’ve also represented the Dominican Republic at the U17 and U21 national team levels, which has helped me develop a strong understanding of the game at a high level.

I work with players of different ages and skill levels, focusing on technical development, confidence, decision-making, and overall soccer IQ. My training sessions are designed to be competitive, positive, and game-oriented while helping athletes improve their consistency and understanding of the game. Whether a player is looking to build fundamentals, gain confidence, or prepare for higher levels of competition, I tailor sessions to fit their individual goals.

As a current college athlete, I bring modern training methods and firsthand experience of what coaches look for at the next level, while emphasizing discipline, hard work, and confidence on and off the field. Always with the objective of improving and having fun!

I currently compete at the NCAA Division I level for George Washington University as a soccer player. Before college, I played for elite academy programs in the ECNL earning all conference first team honors, while in the summers playing in the USL 2 and NPSL leagues. I’ve also had the honor of representing the Dominican Republic at the U17 and U21 national team levels, competing against top international talent. My experience playing at academy, national team, and Division I levels has given me a strong understanding of the game and what it takes to compete at a high level.

A typical session with me is high-energy, competitive, and tailored to the athlete’s age, position, and goals. I like to start with a dynamic warm-up and technical ball work to get players comfortable and sharp on the ball. From there, we move into drills focused on first touch, passing, dribbling, finishing, movement, and decision-making under pressure.

I also incorporate game-realistic situations to help players improve their soccer IQ, confidence, and speed of play. Depending on the athlete, sessions may focus more on technical development, conditioning, positional awareness, or building confidence in match situations. I make sure every session is challenging but positive, creating an environment where players can improve while enjoying the process.
