More About Coach Desiree'
I have worked numerous camps at the college level (USC) as well as the professional level (WNBA Sparks). I been able to work with people of all ages, from 12 years to 80 years old. However, I have the most experience with middle school and high school girls.
Basketball has been a large part of my life It has allowed me complete at a Division I college, and see the world while playing this game. Coming out of high school I was ranked 35th in the country and 8th in my position by ESPN. I was also nominated to be a McDonald's American my senior year. Being a highly recruited athlete was one of the best memory's of my life, and an experience I will never forget. I played my college career at the University of Southern California, and finished my senior season in 2014. In that time I won a PAC 12 Conference Champion, and competed in the NCAA tournament. I have had the privilege to work and play with many professional players and coaches. I truly understand the importance hard work and perseverance. What you put into anything is what you are going to get out of it. Life thus far has been a huge blessing.
My sessions will vary depending on the needs of the trainee. However, what you can expect is work on fundamentals, because no matter what level you are playing at the fundamental part of your game is what is going to be displayed most of the time. Fundamentals are your instincts, when you are fundamentally efficient, you play free and instinctively, not over thinking. This builds confidence which is also VERY important. You will also see intense drills that will challenge the trainee physically and mentally. You can expect correction, and also teaching, because understanding why you are doing something is just as important as perfecting what you are doing.
