More About Coach David

I have been coaching baseball since I was 19 years old; after injuring my knee, I felt this would be the best way to stay in the game and pass down my baseball knowledge to future generations. I started coach at the High School level and coached at that level until age 20. At age 20 I coach a travel baseball organization in Reno, NV and served as the programs VP with an emphasis in Player Development. I oversee 450 different players. After my VP stint in travel baseball, I was accepted into Graduate school and served as the Graduate Assistant Baseball coach for Corban University. That contract last 2 years in which I was in-charge of the programs Catchers / Hitting. Receiving my MBA at Corban lead me coach at Willamette University as the INF / OF coach. I spent 2 years coaching there. Through my success at Willamette, I was hired recently at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ as the Catcher's and 1st Base Coach.
I use the summer months to coach in various Collegiate Summer Baseball Leagues. The past 3 summers, my summer team was named Champion of their league. 2016 - Oregon Collegiate Baseball League, 2017 Pioneer Collegiate Baseball League, and 2018 New York Collegiate Baseball League.
So, as you can see from my above experiences, I can / have worked with different age groups ranging from 5 year old, all the way to College kids. I have a knack for rapid player and skill development.
I am CPR and First Aid certified.

I played at the College of Idaho from 2007-2009. This was at the NAIA level. I got hurt at the age of 19 years old in which I stated coaching High Baseball / Travel Baseball to start passing down my knowledge to younger players.

My primary focus is on ball security, fundamentals, and short / fast twitch energy bursts.
Starting with an easy warm-up.
Followed by catch play and into some isolated drill-work to warm up your hands.
Next involves full range of motion movements with throwing / fielding incorporated into those movements.
We end usually with a challenge drill that recaps everything that was learned from the daily lesson.

Great Coach!
Dependable! Takes his time to demonstrate, explain, and fine tune that definitely is improving Kegan’s skills! The filming really helps to! He is able to demonstrate before and after with each of the techniques that he is teaching. We all really appreciate his time, expertise and positive coaching style. Thank you! Highly recommend!!

So good. We had a rough summer league but Coach Dennis sparked the passion to play back in our son. He treated him like one of his own team. It was the best session. We will definitely be continuing with sessions this entire year!
