I played 4 years of College basketball at Northeastern State University and has 12 years of professional basketball experience. Ive had experience in various youth training camps including

I started playing basketball at Muskogee High School prior to playing for Northeastern State University from 1999 to 2004 were he became the all-time leading scorer. Hinson was a WALK-ON and was named 2003 NCAA-II Elite Eight Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Hinson earned NABC All-America honors in 2004 and in 6 games scored 30 or more points, including a 46 point effort against Southwestern Oklahoma State. Hinson was also a two-time All-LSC North selection and was the 2004 LSC North Player of the Year. Furthermore, Muskogeean Darnell Hinson was amongst four Northeastern State Redmen to be selected for the Lone Star Conference’s 75th anniversary basketball team.

Following his stellar collegiate career, he played professionally from 2004-2014 in country likes Germany, Holland, Austria, France, Puerto Rico, Russia, Australia etc.

I offer private and groups training. My programs are meant to develop individual basketball skills, confidence and overall understanding of the game. Each player or group will receive a specifically designed program based on his/her skill level. Each player will also receive a free player evaluation. This is a one-time assessment to determine the skill level of each athlete. Each player is evaluated on techniques and skills using a numerical 5 star rating of specific criteria that cover all aspects of the game. This is an excellent tool to measure the player's improvement. A consultation to review the evaluation and set goals for the future will follow the session.

Darnell was right on the money with drills and assessing current skill level of my son and spot on with communication for kid to stay engaged

Coach Darnell did an excellent job with my 6 year old son, he did the following:

- Gave a strong presentation through short lecture and Demonstration.

- My Son was able to drills that and listen to a degree in which I didn’t think he would.

- My Son is now more interested in training and much more ready to to play the game.

My commute to train with Coach Darnell is an hour away, but is worth the time.

Coach Darnell worked with my 9 year old son for the first time last week. I could tell based on the drills he had my son do that Coach Darnell knew what he was doing. The drills were challenging but Coach Darnell was also very encouraging the entire time. My son really enjoyed working with Darnell and I would highly recommend him. Coach Darnell - was very good at training my two sons both individually and together. He challenged the boys and also had a great attention to detail. I would recommend him to any parent or player serious about jumping up to the next level in their game.
