I have over 15 years of experience working with elite athletes from at the AAU, High School, College, NBA and USA Basketball levels. I successfully coached at the Division I level for 9 years, Temple University for 4 years and the University of South Carolina for 5 years. As an assistant I helped lead teams to 2 Atlantic 10 Championships and 2 SEC Championships and 1 Final Four appearance, and 9 post seasons in 9 years. I have coached and trained several boys that went on to play college basketball. I have coached 2 players that have played in the WNBA one is still currently playing and an All-Star. In addition, I have coached countless others that have played professionally overseas and will play in the WNBA in the future. I am capable of training males and females at all levels.
I played basketball 4 years for the University of Michigan. As a player I participated on teams that went to post season play 3 out of my 4 years. Our team accomplishments included winning the 1997 NIT and the inaugural Big Ten Tournament and advancing to the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament in 1998. Named team captain 1999-2000 season. I was also a Big Ten Academic All-American.
Each client is different but fundamentals and footwork will always be a key component during my training sessions. Another key is figuring out the goals of my clients and after evaluating them giving them a plan to reach their goals. If their goals are not realistic I will be honest with them and devise a plan to help them reach the highest level they can with hard work and discipline. I do not focus on offense alone but also on teaching defense and other aspects of the game to separate you from the pack. Many trainers can play the game but not all of them can teach and coach the game. I have played and coached at a high level and know what it takes to play at the level you want to reach.
