More About Coach Dan

I have been involved with Youth Sports for the past six years. I have coached ages 5 though 11 in soccer, baseball and basketball.

I have run a Youth Athletic Development program for ages 5 though 11 that concentrated on body awareness, movement exploration, coordination and ultimately having fun.

I am a Certified Personal Trainer as well as a Certified Speed & Agility Coach.

I played high school basketball and continue to play when possible. I played Men's Club Volleyball at Ohio University and continue to play Sand Volleyball Twos.

Every session would tend to be different. Some days we would concentrate more on coordination, balance and strength, while others may work solely on speed, agility and plyometrics.

We would always start with a dynamic warm up program that includes movement prep, balance and stretching.

I have found that for elementary age kids the activities have to be fun or you will not be able to keep their attention.
For the middle school age, there will be a good mix of fun drills/games mixed with standard exercises.
