More About Coach Dan
My name is Coach Dan and I am a Mental Skills coach.
As a Mental Skills coach, I help others optimize performance strategies through mental areas of the game.
This includes but is not limited to:
*Mindfulness
*Emotional Control
*Goal setting
*Imagery
*Confidence
I’ve worked with tennis and basketball players through my Masters degree training, however I am available to work with all performers. I protect confidentiality and take a person-centered approach to coaching. Sessions are individualized to the needs of the particular performer or team.
As an athlete I grew up playing basketball through the HS Varsity level and have coached basketball ever since! Currently I am a Varsity boys basketball coach and a 1on1 skill development coach and my Master's level training in Sport Psychology has provided me with the tools and experience to help athletes train mentally. This includes meditation; imagery; team building; mindfulness training; creating pre-performance routines.
A typical mental skills training session is approximately 55 minutes in length and is individualized to meet the specific needs of that athlete. We use a portion of the session to reflect on their sport experience and then work through particular mental skills that can help their practice or game performance. At session’s end we check back for takeaways. Team sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of the group.

Client Reviews
Elite Jr. Tennis athlete (Testimonial)
Coach Dan is an amazing mental skills coach! We worked on many aspects of my tennis game such as routines, dealing with nerves, recovery steps, preparation, and much more. Each time I met with him, my knowledge of how to deal with critical situations and overall confidence in my tennis game vastly improved. When I began implementing these strategies into my tennis game, I started to win even more matches than I had before. I began to believe in my game which helped me stay more relaxed during matches. Coach Dan is always positive and encourages me to believe in my abilities. He explains each scenario and solution so vividly, I am able to imagine these situations in my head. Working with Coach Dan is still one of the most useful things that I’ve done to improve my metal game.
