More About Coach Daniel
I've been doing private 1-on-1 trainings for two years now under my personal brand. I can train players of any age group and playing experience, but I prefer working with committed and dedicated players. I am also the director of a nonprofit soccer organization in San Jose, CA, Bay Area Champions, which is on a mission to create more playing opportunities for players. I have a U.S soccer grassroots coaching license, I am also a certified personal trainer, certified nutritionist, and I have a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology:Rehab Science.
I have been playing soccer basically my entire life. I competed in U.S youth club soccer from ages 11-18, I played in multiple youth clubs in the Central Coast of California. I played four years of Varsity High School Soccer and got an award every year I was there (Coach's Award X 2 and Team MVP X 2). I also trained with the Santa Monica College Men's Soccer team for one year (2018-2019), I played with the Cuesta College Men's Soccer team for one year (2019-2020), and played Club College Soccer at San Jose State in 2022. I also have experience playing at the UPSL / SWPL (semi-professional / amateur level) with Lobos FC, in Los Angeles, and Atletico San Jose in San Jose, CA.
This is what a typical session with me looks like. The first 10-15 minutes of an hour session are spent warming up with athletic training and injury prevention exercises, because in order to control the ball, players must first be able to control their bodies. Then we spend the next 45 minutes doing on-the-ball work with drills and exercises specific to a player's goals and positions. I am also a huge fan of barefoot training, so we spend a lot of time training barefoot, depending on the time of the day we meet and the season.
