More About Coach Daniel

I have been both playing and teaching golf as a professional for the past 10 years. My background comes from my Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, from California State University. I have applied that knowledge to the golf swing to help teach and my own game through fundamentals of the swing and through learning functional movements for the golf swing.

I am skilled at teaching all aspects of the game including: Full Swing (irons and woods), Mental Approach, Short Game, Putting, Bunker Shots, Course Management, Rules and Etiquette and Club Fitting.

I enjoy teaching all skill levels of players and athletes. I find it very exciting to help illustrate what is happening in your golf swing and then give you the tools and strategies to correct it.
All of my lessons begin with an assessment of the fundamentals of the swing. Posture, Plane, Path, Grip an Alignment. Most students will spend the majority of the time learning and correcting those five fundamentals through lots or REPETITION and PRACTICE. From there I can start to create power by teaching some power characteristics such as weight shift and kinematic sequence.

I always begin my sessions talking. What is happening with your swing, your game, your head? What do you think you need to fix and how do you think you're going to do that. Is there problem with your mechanics or a body limitation? Do I need to address a limitation with your body before trying to have you do something different in your swing? The first 5-10 minutes talking will direct where the session, and potentially the next several sessions will go.
I use video as my main tool for understanding what swing faults are happening and then illustrating how to correct them. It is a powerful tool to see your own swing.
I use TPI's research and body-swing connection to evaluate the functionality of your body during your swing. It is a powerful way to understand what your body can and cannot do and how that is affecting your golf swing's power and consistency.
Most of all, I always have Fun!!!
