More About Coach Daniel
I have recently retired after playing four years professionally in the minor leagues for both the New York Yankees and the Miami Marlins. Prior to playing pro ball I played for the University of Connecticut (Division 1) until I was selected in the 4th round of the MLB draft.
I have been giving pitching lessons for the past 4 years each off-season in addition to running the strength and conditioning program for the athletes at Buckingham, Browne and Nichols in Cambridge.
During lessons I stress a repeatable delivery, smooth mechanics and arm action. Situational pitching is also something that I try to instill early in my young pitchers, because pitching is simply throwing off the hitters timing. I also have arm care and injury prevention exercise routines that I recommend be followed.
