Coach Daniel has been a fantastic coach for our 13yo daughter and we whole-heartedly recommend him without reservation.

Our daughter has been playing rec soccer since kindergarten, but just started playing travel soccer this past Spring (2023). When making the jump, she felt she was missing out on technique that she had not been exposed to before and was feeling outgunned. After she completed this fall season, she wanted to get some individual instruction to help elevate her game and to support her in pursuing a position change. She started working with Coach Daniel in mid Dec. 2024.

We contacted Coach Daniel through the CoachUp app and he responded the same night. He worked with us on picking a day/time/location that fit our schedule. He was punctual and prepared at the first session. He was very friendly and personable. He put my daughter at ease from the drop. After initial introductions, he quickly got her started on getting warmed up not wasting any time. It appeared that he had the full practice session planned out as he efficiently went through drills that served to assess her level while her provide instruction. He shared with her that his coaching style is very technique focused. He introduces an idea, teaches the movement at a slow pace, but steadily increases the pace to work up to game speed, while maintaining focus on proper form and technique. Over the course of the first session he identified 3 separate technical corrections (that she has not been exposed to before) that she was able to implement immediately. She was very excited to share that with me afterwards. She said that he didn't just tell her what to adjust, but explained why it mattered. This approach helped crystalize each instruction, allowing her to adopt the movements more quickly. To describe that as a perfect fit for my daughter's learning style would be an understatement.

My daughter so thoroughly enjoyed the training time with coach Daniel that we immediately signed up for a 10pk of lessons. She is now a few more lessons in to her training with him and we are delighted with the results. He has taken a real interest in getting to know her, asking details about her soccer background, learning about her goals, and collaborating with her to setting up training plans. He has made himself available to let her pick his brain on things like pre-game prep, training, and mindset. They are planning to discuss tactics once the Spring season gets underway. I can see her working with coach Daniel for quite a while.
