More About Coach Dan
After a personal playing career through high school and college I turned to coaching 20 years ago. I have coached young kids all the way through high school. My coaching accomplishments include a private school championship, a Division-A travel championship appearance and more. I currently work one on one and in small groups with middle school and high school athletes looking to grow and take their game to the next level. I enjoy getting to know my clients personally so I can understand their goals and help them achieve them! I currently hold a Maine State Coaching Class "D" license.
I played high school soccer at one of the largest Division A High Schools in Massachusetts where we regularly competed for state championships and won many tournaments. I was a 3-year varsity starter and captain. I played my college soccer at a smaller college in Boston and was a 4-year starter and captain. I continue to play in various adult leagues to keep up my personal level of fitness.
My training sessions are high energy, purposeful, and fun! I don't just want to make your work out, I want to help you get better! We would start with ball handling exercises to get a sweat going and to warm up your touch. No one shows up with a good touch, you have to warm it up! You should expect to learn something new every session and be able to explain and reiterate the coaching points to others. We will focus on individual areas that need improvement allowing us to create repetition until skills are mastered. We will move on to drills that will translate to real game play. You will leave with new skills and solutions you can work into your next practice or game.
