I grew up in Northern California's Bay Area where I fell in love with the game of lacrosse at the age of 13 years old. Overall I have played Lacrosse for 9 years, 4 of those years playing NCAA collegiate level at Chapman University. Upon the decision of continuing my lacrosse career through college I became very serious about my athleticism on the field. My training for lacrosse never ended after stepping off the field during practice. I took up training by achieving my personal training certification through NASM. This has allowed me to not only help my athletes with their skill but also train them to have an athletic edge on the field. I take a lot of pride in my work as well as results.

During my time at Chapman, we won the WCLA National Championship. Even though my college career is over, my passion for training and lacrosse in general keeps me involved in coaching and personal training.

Over the course of the last 3 years I have had the opportunity to coach at NCAA collegiate, club collegiate, high school and elementary/middle school level clinics. I am extremely passionate in helping others reach their goals. You can find my success story here on the coach up website about one of my athletes who went from picking up a stick for the first time to getting a partial scholarship to a Division II NCAA school!

2015 UCLA took 3rd in Regionals
2014 Occidental College took 2nd in SCIAC
2011 WCLA National Championship
Voted most athletic 3 years on team.

I am completely open minded to listening to what my clients want to achieve and do everything in my power to get them there. I also realize that part of playing a sport is the fun and enjoyment that is what initially draws the person into becoming a passionate athlete. I provide a zero-judgement environment where the client feels comfortable but also can push themselves to their personal bests.

A typical first session would consist of evaluation of current abilities, keeping track of progress is not only useful but also rewarding:

Introductory Lessons
If the player is a beginner or new to the game of lacrosse. Introductory lessons are recommended. The student would learn the basic fundamentals of the game. Expect the following:
• Equipment Check – evaluation of fit and ‘playability’
• How to throw and catch properly
• How to shoot
• Basic dodging moves – split, roll, face, etc.
• Basic defense
• Basic offense

Advanced Lesson

An advanced lesson is for a player who has been playing for some time and has begun to master most of the basic skills that are offered in introductory lessons. You can expect the following:
• Usually involves being paired up with a specific coach geared towards lesson goals.
• Developing Lacrosse IQ – situational awareness
• Advanced dodging moves – face, roll dodge, footwork etc.
• Advanced passing & shooting – on-the-run, fakes, etc
• Advanced defense – zone and man-to-man education, footwork, checks etc
• Advanced offense – cuts & picks, offensive sets, footwork, etc.

Great instructor

(no details provided)

My daughter finished her first lesson with Coach Cristina and we were both very impressed! Coach Cristina's enthusiasm and positive attitude are very affirming. And she is not only knowledgable about the sport, but she is good at communicating that knowledge. My daughter is already looking forward to her next lesson.
