Craig Kirby

I have 3 years of coaching tournament baseball and 2 years coaching high school fall ball. I have coached at the high school level. I have worked 1 year at Pride Baseball Academy, 2 years at Rudder High School, and 2 years with the Brazos Valley Renegades. I have coached ages ranging from 13 to 18 years old.

My record as a baseball coach is 90-26-6 for ages ranging 13 to 18. I just recently got 3rd place in the IBC World Series in Clearwater, Florida with my 17U tournament team. The team I coached this year went 17-7-2, but the year before with a different coach, they went 3-20-4. I helped them improve significantly by bonding with them as a coach and pushing them to be better versions of themselves.

A typical session would include hitting drills and focusing on techniques to improve getting players hands through the zone and not pulling off. We would work on their stance and swing. I would teach them how to stay on top of the baseball and make sure they learn how to hit to all areas of the field. From the pitching stand point, I would teach them how to throw with the body to relieve stress from the arm. We would work on the basic mechanics of pitching with the 3 phrase technique.
