More About Coach Courtney
I have been coaching softball for about two years now. I coached club teams, as well as at the high school level (freshman to varsity). I work for Madison High School in Idaho for one season before moving here to Hawaii. I typically work with all ages but prefer at least high school level athletes who are interested in playing in college.
I have 1 state title. Ranked 5th at Nationals. Placed very well in many summer tournaments, winning most. Traveled from Colorado, to Oregon playing in tournaments. Many awards to batting in high school as well as ASA tournaments 12-U to 18-U. Had an opportunity to play in a recruitment game with Olympic Pitcher, Jenny Finch in attendance. Offers from many division-1 schools, and full rides to many d-2, d-3 schools, but chose not to play in college. Took up coaching instead.
Sessions run an hour to an hour and a half. I specialize in batting, infield, and outfield. I do not work with pitchers in the high school age group. Only pitchers prior to high school. I like to focus on one area in a session.
So, if batting is a necessity, then I like to break that down into either, bunting, slapping, or dragging in separate sessions. Maybe a few in one session depending on the level of understanding and technique. Batting and infield and outfield are all different sessions. I do not like to mix unless the athlete is in need of the physical training to be able to perform both. Sessions are very technical and I have high expectations for perfection in all areas.
Time management is crucial in sessions to cover as much as needed and get as many repetitions in as possible. So being on time is a must. If athlete is late, I need to know prior to the starting time of the lesson to adjust, otherwise, lesson still ends on time, and there is no refund for what portion of the lesson was missed. Athlete needs to have shoes on when lesson starts and glove in hand or batting equipment set up. Water bottles are required. Planned hydration breaks are in lessons.
Goal is to have perfect technique in ever repetition and become deliberate about reactions. Athlete will learn complete discipline and control over themselves in the game.

Coach Courtney was really great! I learned a lot on my first lesson and I will be using those skills Courtney taught me at tryouts I have faith in myself now. Coach Courtney took time to getting to know my skills ans weaknesses and used those weaknesses to improve my hitting and I am looking forward to lesrning more and looking forward to crushing my tryouts because if the amazing help coach Courtney gave me. Coach Courtney is also really funny and a sweet person you can habe a good coach and player connection just meeting her, she will work you hard but she will also have time to make it fun.

Courtney really takes the time to learn my daughters skills and weaknesses, and what lillys style of learning is. She has gone from not being able to serve the ball over the net to serving the game point winning points!!

Coach Courtney is a great coach. She not only engages I the activities she is teaching but she makes them all so enjoyable! The improvements I have made a few very noticeable with only 2 sessions in, I will definitely be training more with Courtney

Thank you for coaching me. You were the best coach I have ever had and taught me so much. I have never had a coach that has taught me as much as you have.
